I was the winner of a giveaway run by Forum member CRX. I won a BlackShadow Fire. It is a stainless steel light, rather large in size (6.25 in.) has an XM-L T6 in it. Two different UIs. Nothing really special about the operation of the light, or the output (500 lumens), but the quality of the construction is amazing. This is a tank, and the stainless steel is gorgeous. What to do with it?
Hidden inside the battery chamber of the light was a surprise, another small flashlight … the Trustfire S-A6! It’s been modded, cut down to 2 3/4 in., direct drive with an XP-G S2 2B, and no reflector. This is a great little mule, also stainless steel. Beautiful tint. Runs on a 10440. It’s become one of my favorite pocket carry lights!
appreciate the kind words. Yes, the clip is nice, and beefy!
The pictures are a result of a nice camera lens, and good light, thanks for the compliment. Don’t have to spend a lot. Old Fuji S5100 point n’ shoot, $175.
The light projects a fairly narrow hotspot so i would beef it up with an MT-G2 and a 4A driver for more flood. I think it might still throw fairly well with that setup too.
