I imagine a charger for that battery pack is required could you post the whole kit ?
I would like to compare the hobby R/C pack or the dedicated jump starter.

I use a few different chargers, mainly an old IMAX B6 and a ISDT Q6 .

I guess if its just for the one purpose you could get a very cheap balance charger, something like THIS maybe.

If you are looking for one to use for a business, below is what we currently use. its quite a bit lighter then our old ones and I think they can jump start 4-5 skid steers off one charge but would need to verify that.

I can only suggest buying a real quality one like the linkedc or go with simple 3S battery pack at around 4-5Ah thats rated at least 20 or 30C

the cheap ones are not safe, many reports of blown lithium batteries no safety features ect.

The most important do not store the lithium pack in winter in the car it needs to be at least 10°C warm to deliver enough current

Surely there’s a reasonable deal to get ones butt out of a jam for a modest price somewhere? I’ve seen em on sale at WallyWorld for @ $40… and at the time, I didn’t know if any good.

the cheapest is having a jump starter bridge and ask your neighbor or some stranger driving by to give you the juice from his battery and light machine

Take into consideration the vehicles charging system runs about 14v so a fully charged 4s pack is still a few volts above that. Proceed with caution…

I’ve never had a problem with my F150 since the interior lights will auto shut off after a while. But my Wife’s, Honda Pilot was a royal pain in the ass. Can’t tell you how many times I had to jump start that when one of the kids left a light on in the back seat somewhere. One of these portable jump starters would have been nice for sure.

The new Ford Edge is pretty much all LED as far as I know, and it auto shuts off the lights too.!

I’ve been asking this question for a couple of years, and a few times even got ready to pull the trigger on a buy. I start reading the reviews, and they all have problems. This includes the antigravity brand, which from the reviews I’ve read, may be the best but watch for counterfeits. They all have the high temp problems, and the low temp problem. Overcharge problem, undercharge problem. They tend to die after a couple years. The real problem is you can’t keep them safely in your vehicle, which is the whole point of having the paperback book small size.

I’ve come to this conclusion:
The Best one is NONE of them. Get the super capacitor type. This design appears to solve all the problems, including the long-life problem.

Right now the prices are a bit high, not prohibitively so, but high. I think I can stick with my old lead-acid jumper for a little while longer till the prices comes down.

I’ve got the above jump starter / power bank in my truck. It a 10,000mah power bank with usb and usb-c. Rated to start V8 engines with pretty good reviews. After dong some reading, and Consumer Reports recommendation I bought s Bolt D28. I also gave one to my SIL. I have not needed mine, but My Daughters car needed a jump. They used it and it worked as advertised. Subsequently they have used it a couple of times and it did OK.
I gave mine to my son and bought a D29, but still have not used it.

I’ve seen what’s inside those NOCO boxes. I don’t think I’d use one.

I’m not sure if I’d go 3s or 4s but I know I’d use a pack made by Dinogy. Their new “70C” packs can actually supply 30C (~150A) discharge until dead which will cause most cheaper packs to overheat or explode.

There’s a thread on RCGroups where a guy there tests packs for use in his ducted fan jet which uses more power than just about anything I know of in the R/C world.
