I've just received a light I was really excited about only to find it has plastic lenses (listed on FT as glass) so for it to be usable I need to find glass for it. The size is 29x1mm however a 30mm lens will fit, what wont work is these 2mm thick 30's, they're to thick. Anyone know where I can source some 29x1 or 30x1mm glass lenses (or even good hard acrylic), the stock plastic ones [came all scratched to hell from factory assembly. Plan on doing a production run so I cant pay $8+ each from FLL, that'd be <$16 a light and I have another host option for cheaper than {this light plus $16 lenses]
If I cant find replacements the project will have to be scrapped, I can not sell lights with beat up plastic lenses.
Get a couple of cheap lights with the same size lens to replace it when scratched. Are you taking it to the beach? The lens from a cheap light that I am using as a magnifying glass isn’t scratched yet.
