My 14yo daughter has taken after me and loves to play the trumpet. I played for about 17 years, jazz mainly and lost interest. I sold my decent horns and kept a good free flowing Yamaha YTR-232. That horn is a larger bore than medium but not a medium large bore. She is getting the most our of it, but could really move into a ML bore horn. She has started playing small rock gigs with a couple instructors and other kids and needs more flow and crisper highs that an ML can produce.
We have a fairly eclectic group here and thought I would ask… Does anyone have a Getzen 400, 700 or 490 they want to part with? They are so free flowing and have Amado water keys for even less flow interference. I owned and played a 400 and played many 700’s over the years, but sold my 400 to a young jazz player 20 years ago… mine was beat to hell by years of bar playing and that was what he needed to start off.
