I’m building a 3x XM-L light. I do not want a boost driver because I will be using a 3s 3p li-ion battery. I would like something that can be flashed with a new firmware (ATtiny13 based seems to be what I would want for this.) A buck driver would be preferred if it can regulate output reasnonably, but I am open to a linear driver wired up in this configuration with the needed resistors to drop voltage enough to prevent burning the driver with the low VF of the XMLs.

I could have gotten it cheaper, but illumination supply gets stuff to me quick.
I’ll use a power resistor to drop the extra volts.
3s3p LiIon = Max voltage of 12.6V
8xAMC7135-304A Driver = Max voltage of 6V
That should cook nicely.
Edit: Never mind, scratch that, I see you’re going to hook it up in the odd configuration with the driver in the middle…
