suggestions welcome., single battery options only please
unfortunately without onboard charging, but the Convoy l21b with sst20 660nm deep red looks really great, Osram KR CSLNM1.23b620nm throws further…
thank you
do you know if a USB-C battery will fit?
Meanwhile, came up with the idea to test this WK03… It has USB-C charging and a throwy Tir.:
it reaches Ok in my backyard… plan is to gift it to a friend and wait to hear if it seems bright enough for them…
Next I ordered an FC11C, which has a better driver, with regulated output:
and some 660nm LEDs (Kaidomain) to test mod into the FC11C
Probably way over budget, but there’s the Cyansky H5GT. However, it’s not 660nm deep red from what I can find. SFT-20-RA is 613nm, apparently.
Not sure if it will take usb-c 21700 batt, but I think it’s possible. In most of my Convoy’s there’s room enough for larger batteries.
How about the M21 series from Convoy?
Or just a regular C8+ and USB-C rechargeable cells?
I’ve spotted that Vapcell have recently added a new usb-C 21700 (P21650B) that supports powerbank function… I don’t have many but tend to prefer USB chargeable batteries rather than a port in the side of a light.
Thanks for your suggestions.
The Wk03 seems to fit the bill w built in USB-C and a Red LED swap. Its a gift to a Granny. Easier if they dont need to open the light.
I wont know til next week if she finds the beam reaches far enough… I hope it will.
