Looking for a somewhat to decent 2*AA driver.

I am trying to build a P60 dropin that will perform well on 2*AA lithium cells to keep in my SHTF box in the basement. Any suggestions for a driver, can’t seem to find anything with any drive current.

This looks ok, but it is discontinued…

Might be ok, but it is one mode only so may eat batteries… would take 2*AA or 1*14500

I would like to get my hands on an M2 driver, going to buy one of them but would like to build an additional light since I have an L2r and Dereelight in 2*AA.

Ideas?

I just received a few of them but haven’t tried one out yet. I was wondering if it could be filed to 14.5mm to fit a minimag since there seems to be a bit of unoccupied acreage around the perimeter. Just hooked one up to the test rig with 2 x lithium primaries and got 3well spaced modes albeit with next mode memory from off. Al least no blinkies though. Worked just fine with a 4V cell and spacer.

Hey lads i am also interested in doing this but in a different host. The AA drivers are harder to find not as many options. I like the design of the driver you linked from KD it seems safer to have the boost converter like that. If dropped it will probably still break.

Potting it into the pill would probably make it more kid survivable.

Dont ask me how but he came to me with a bunch of broken lights that i gave him they fell when we was taking them out his pocket lol I am a bit the same but i always use a lanyard.
