It kind of fudges on the first one but with the reflector unscrewed it turns into a directional candle. The XP-E is miniscule and this thing throws way more than a light its size should. Fasttech have them too, but no box, Focalprice is the only place that hasn’t been put on the verboten list that I’m confident comes in the original box.
I’m not sure if firefly mode is the same as the Solarforce Moon mode but check out the SolarForce Z-1 and Z-2. I have the Z-1 and am completely blown away by the light that comes from this tiny package with a XP-G2 LED. And all for $15.99. Plus the current deliver times from HK are about 8 days to the east coast.
fenix makes some good lights. i have a pd30 and got my dad a pd32 which came with a clip. they run on 2 cr123’s but fenix makes some single 123 lights and AA lights too. I have had mine about 5-6 years without any problems even after going through the washing machine, dropped, and in the Texas heat. I’m not a big fan of the additional side button on newer versions but you should be able to find some pd30’s or pd32’s on amazon that were the previous version. also, don’t let the cr123 prices discourage you…. they can be bought online for $1 a piece from battery dealers selling tenergy and titanium brand batteries
