looking for budget lights that have square threads

i have seen a number of nice lights on this forum that have square threads on both ends of the battery tubes. i can't remember what brand or model since i usually browse this site on my droid and don't write it down. anyone know which lights have this feature? please help me coddle my OCD!!!

thanks,

monty

Never saw any budget light other than a entry level Fenix with square Acme threads. That is a popular thread on lathe and milling machine lead screws because it wears so well an minimizes slop and backlash

Akoray k-106 ?

EOSlamp SP11, Shadow TC6.

what may be a budget light to me, may be high dollar to the next guy and so on. actually, to clarify what i believe a budget light to be is a light that may be a clone of another and selling for about half of the real thing. moneywise, i think that 50-75 dollars is upper end "budget" light. but that depends on what it is. i don't think anyone could argue that an ultrafire 501 would be a budget light for 75 bucks or a good deal at that. the light that i remember seeing that had the squared threads was a toilet plunger that ran off of 18650's. i think the price was about 75 bucks. i remember that it was reviewed here because of the comment of the squared threads.

*update* upon more searching, i didn't find the light in question but i stumbled upon the crelant 7g5 which is very similar to the one that i remembered. i thought the light that i looking for was x9 or similar but the crelant is everything i am looking for in this mystery light. hmmmm, now to convience the wife that i "need" another flashlight.

Both my AKoray K-103 have acme threads. I bought them at different times and from different sources, while they have different springs, both have acme threads.

IIRC the Trustfire X9 has square threads.

believe the one your talking about is a large head multi cell trustfire......irc

also if im right, the thread had someone actually post a picture of a plunger in comparison. might help

Trustfire F20

Xeno E03

Fenix TK15, but not budget, and still expensive.

boy is my face red! yeah, it was the trustfire x9. thanks for all the replies. those are all some very nice lights!

I think that the Shiningbeam S-mini has square threads. I just bought two as gifts for about $45 each with an XML-T6 and 3 modes.

TrustFire F20

Correct.

My definition of budget light is 14$ :)
