Hi. My old tube of MX-2 has finally run out, and after browsing though newegg.ca I’m having trouble justifying paying ~$10 for a replacement tube. Does anyone know of a place where I could get some reasonably good thermal paste for cheaper? I don’t need anything exotic or high-end, just something that’s a bit better than the 50g of goopy paste that I save for cooling emergencies. Buying from overseas is not a problem as long as the seller is reputable.

I know quite a few people use fujik
Fujik is the glue version (works like silicone sealant, with good thermal coupling when applied thinly). Once this sets, you do not need anything to hold the emitter star in place.
Thermal paste (i.e. the stuff that never dries out, often found on computer CPUs and chipsets), is something different and can also be found on DX and Fasttech. For this, you need to fasten the emitter star in place.
