Looking for my perfect 18650 light

I’m looking for an 18650 host but am quite specific in what I want. It possibly doesn’t exist. Currently the best fit light I have is the solar force l2T but I would not mind something with a larger head/reflector and possibly even shorter overall length. Something similar to a surefire fury combatlight would be nice but obviously I’d want something cheaper and easy to mod.

I’m looking for an 18650 host that is:

- as short or shorter than L2T

- Preferably larger head than the L2T

- Clicky switch (would likely switch out for Mcclicky)

- Good quality anodizing like solarforce (don’t want the shiny ultrafire finishes)

  • Does not need the tactical rings

Anything that fit those criteria?

I am not familiar with the L2T, but how about a Convoy M1 from fasttech, does it fit your criteria?

Bingo!

i ordered a second M1 and it had a defective switch so i sent it back, and got another one, its anodizing doesn’t seem as nice as the first so they may be cheapening it out or i just got unlucky

Wow, that m1 fits the criteria quite well. I don’t entirely like the style but it is almost everything I am looking for.

Thanks for the recommendations. The ultrafire is another p60. I basically wanted something a little more throwy than a p60 but without getting much longer.

I also endorse the M1.

I bought mine direct from Simon, with a XM-L2 T4 7A3, which is quite a warm white. It is rapidly becoming my favourite torch.

looking for a perfect 18650 light is just like looking for a perfect woman :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s a bit more expensive (~$40) but what I’ve seen from Shadow has always been good quality. Not sure how easy it would be to switch out driver/led

We can have multiple 18650 lights at the same time.

hmm, what kind of woman would this Convoy M1 be, and the Sipik sk68 .

i bet you will 0:)
