Looking for Runtime Graphs for Convoy 3x21D with New Constant Current Driver

I posted this question on Reddit, but the response was limited. I’m hoping people here might have more info.

There are many YouTube videos showing the FET version 3x21D, but I’m interested in knowing how the results look with the constant current driver. Specifically, what do the runtime graphs look like and what is the max sustained output with the new driver? I’ve not been able to find any reviews using the new driver. If anyone has the data or is in a position to measure it, I’d love to see it.

As a side note, there is one short 3 minute video here that shows the FET vs Constant Current driver versions running on Turbo. There is a very significant difference that can be seen in that video.

3 Thanks

That one is pretty new and hasn’t trickled down to reviewers who do that yet. Simon isn’t aggressive qith soliciting folks to do reviews, so it might be a while before someone does that testing.

You’re right. But for those wanting to see a review, they can fill out a request for review at 1Lumen site here.

I ended up buying the 3x21D with the new Constant Current driver and it’s an amazing thrower. Still hoping to see a review in the future.

I’m about to order the 3x21D with the constant current driver and 3 Molicel p42a-s. How good is the type C charging(with a pd and or qc protocol capable charger)? I could not find any information about the eswitch, does it emit light, according to the charging state?

Thanks for stopping by, Krinya!

The switch light blinks Red while charging and will turn solid Green when fully charged.

The Piercing The Darkness Youtube channel has a video with a runtime graph for it.

Thank you for the reply!

Thanks for that info. Here is a link to that video if others are interested in watching it. It’s an impressive light. But, I sure wish there was Truth in Advertising when it comes to listing rated lumens, 2000 short of advertised is criminal IMHO.
