I am looking to buy several SRK clones, they don’t need to be the best quality, or even have a heatsink shelf, real crees, etc. Just the lowest cost one out there.
I need them as full lights, (hosts for a project.)
On AliExpress you’ll find them from $17.99 onwards

Any idea of the quality of these (other than “what do you expect for $18?”)? Or the reliability of the seller (China-Wholesale LED flashLight)?

Looks like the listing linked to by The Miller has dried up. 
I’d love a source for unbranded ones.
The link posted by The Miller is at China-Wholesale LED flashLight and shows sold out, but there are so many to choose from on Aliexpress including some others in the $18 range that seem to have the same specs. Searching seems to be a game there. I found some by searching “Sky Ray” or “Ray King” that did not show up when searching “Sky Ray King.” Go figure.

I have 2 sub $19 srks
1 is no longer working.
I have 4 srks in the $19,50 - $25 range
The threads of the $19,50+ ones needed a little grease to run smoothly but the $19,50- needed a lot of grease.
The cheapest 2 came without box, spare oring or lanyard
All have the same led shelf (piece of aluminum)
The reflectors are the same (decent) quality.
Lenses are non coated glass for all.
Buttons are the same for all.
Anodization is the same and lockout works for all with a slight twist of 1/16.
They all came with fake Leds and I got refunded for all though I offered a couple of sellers partial refund so they could keep $2,50. All in all these 6 hosts have cost me $6,99 a good starting point for modding
Costs 2x DIY V1 and 3 x V2 drivers RMM ~$70 incl shipping.

Some old coins and PC cooling parts for heat problems free since I allready have that.

If we sell 3 for $35 we will have 3 flashlights for $0,01 and a lot of fun.
Bid on them on e-bay. Toss in a enough low ball offers and even after one night you should get a couple in the $15 range.
it is literally a lottery now when buying these SRKs online anywhere, as 95 % of them are from random unknown clone manufacturers, and draw of luck to get an original real one, or even a “good” clone. I have seen so many of them with different levels of anodizing quality, different parts, fake and real LEDs, & so on.
I should have ordered a couple of them when they were available too…

Change reflector , change heat sink , put XHP-70 or MT-G2 in it , FET driver from M.E. and turn night into day xD

I thinks it’s got to the point where you should expect you’ll get a poor clone with the expectaion you’ll have to upgrade everything to get a good light.
That is exactly what this thread is about: purchasing a light with that in mind… for the lowest possible cost in dollars.
