The current Philips 6500K emitter has a very bad tint so I am looking for emitter recommendations for a swap.
My requirements are:
- Tint and CCT - This is the main reason for replacing the emitter. The beam has a yellow hotspot and looks horrendous. I am looking for an emitter that won’t have this tint shift and has good CRI. I prefer 5000k and above but I’m worried that cool white CCTs will have this tint shift due to the optics. If that is the case, I will opt for a lower CCT like 4000K or 4500K.
- Beam Profile - The optic makes the beam extremely floody. I want it to be a bit more throwy. If a smaller or dedomed LED can increase throw, I will prefer that. But the optic might not allow that. Also would a dedomed 519A help with the tint shift?
- Compatibility - The LED has to be compatible with the current driver inside. The driver can power the Philips 6500K and 519A LEDs. I will replace the full dtp board so footprint shouldn’t matter.
- Current Pick - The 519A 5000k is my current pick, but will go for 5700K dedomed if it helps with tint shift and throw. Looking for better recommendations.
