LOOPGEAR SK06: Titanium 4-in-1 EDC Perfection

LOOPGEAR SK06: Titanium 4-in-1 EDC Perfection

I’ve been a big LoopGear fan for years. They consistently deliver high quality, interesting concepts, and futuristic styling, and the SK06 is no exception. It packs a 2400 lumen white light, teal laser, UV, and RGB side lights into a titanium body with replaceable cells.

**Build Quality**

Like every LoopGear product I’ve handled, this one feels premium and well assembled. The end cap screws on smoothly, and the internal magnet is strong. The switch has a light, easy click, and the rotary mode selector rotates smoothly with a satisfying haptic click at each mode. The side lights double as a battery indicator, changing color to show charge level when a mode is selected. The charging port is covered by a small, magnetically-hinged metal flap. The stonewashed titanium body over the black inner tube feels bulletproof. The pocket clip is sturdy and functions well, and the size and shape sit right in my wheelhouse. The body’s cutouts add grip and visual interest. My only concern is the flush front bezel, though I haven’t scratched the emitter cover yet.

**Design**

The design is fantastic. Matte grey titanium over a black inner tube looks great, and the cutouts add a nice visual touch. The rotary switch works well, though I wish it had better tactile indexing in the dark. There’s a small white dot for reference, but it’s hard to locate by feel alone. The side lights are where the SK06 really shines. They sit behind an opaque, textured cover that diffuses the light nicely, and both the warm white and RGB look great. My favorite feature is the E-tritium glow. It uses the side RGB LEDs to glow ever so slightly, and unlike other added GITD things it doesn’t need any kind of charge from some other light source. LoopGear claims the E-tritium can be on for up to 3 years, which is impressive. The E-tritium can be red, green, or blue with blue being noticeably the brightest of the three.

**UI**

The UI is simple and intuitive. A rotary dial cycles between modes, with an E-switch at the center controlling on/off, brightness, and RGB color cycling. In the images is a diagram from the user manual.

**Usability**

As an EDC, the SK06 excels. The titanium body has held up well to daily use, and the combination of white light, UV, cyan laser, and warm/RGB side lighting is remarkably versatile. The warm white side light is bright enough to double as a lantern or desk light. The side light battery indication is a little reminder and so you always know how much battery life you have left.

**Performance**

At 2400 lumens, the white light is plenty bright, maybe even a touch too cool toned for some tastes. It easily lights up a room or a stretch of yard, with a defined hotspot and useful spill. The teal laser is bright and great for pointing out things. The UV is handy and often just interesting. The side light would also make this a suitable work companion.

**Summary**

The SK06 rocks. The titanium build quality is excellent, the 4-in-1 versatility is genuinely useful, and the cyan laser is a standout feature. This is a light I find myself reaching for often.

Because the loopgear site is pretty much unreadable having black text on dark grey background for me… What’s the color temp and CRI of the main LED?

1 Thank

That happened to me too. Turn off dark mode and the site will be easier to read.
Color temp is 7000k and a 69CRI from what I’ve read.

Yes this colors make no sense
