I was hoping someone here could help me. Well, my girlfriend and I are currently planning visit again Las Vegas and I was hoping to get some feedback from those who live there.
I’m planning a surprise, she is a programmer, and this trip I want her to be really happy. We are making a hole list of beautiful points that we can visit so she can take good shots, not just casinos, kinda trying to save money, because we suppose to be there from Saturday to Friday. Buut, here is the thing, I get tickets for the EY Strategic Growth Forum in Palm Spring, and to convince her to give us a couple days more.
I have been thinking in places like M&M’s World, A Gondola Ride at the Venetian and Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Is there anything we should be on the lookout for when we go in for a tour? Also, I don’t want to pay the high rates at airport parking. A friend told me about an airport quick parking in Las Vegas to leave our car, but wondering if those rates are fear over there? Or, do you know other option?
If you are willing, I let you here all the information about the event:
“The EY Strategic Growth Forum is the country’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. This four-day, by-invitation-only CEO event brings together more than 2,000 of the nation’s top entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and other business leaders. This four-day event includes helping company executives learn the strategic marketplace, an opportunity to meet potential partners, investors, customers, while hearing success stories from influential, innovative entrepreneurs.”
Wednesday November 16 to Saturday November 19
Palm Spring
If I went to Vegas I’d have to go visit pawn stars shop. From the history channel show. Don’t you need your car to get around Vegas? Or you plan on taking a cab everywhere? Could just park it at your hotel room for free or cheaper? You could go see a Penn and teller magic show. Seeb the show fool penn and teller? I believe they perform most days of the week. Along with a lot of different kinds of shows to see out there.
If you have a car and time to spare I would highly recommend checking out the Colorado river. You can rent Kayaks and pay a river running service to drop you at the base of Hover Dam and then pick you up at Willow beach, about 12 miles down the river. It can be done in 1 day but is better to bring camping gear and do an overnight. There is a great beach about 3 miles down from the dam where most like to camp because there is a hot spring called Arizona hot springs. This will likely cost you about $120-$150 per person for the rental and shuttle.
Alternately if you are on a tighter time or financial budget you can hike down from the highway to the hot springs and bank of the Colorado, it is a couple of miles and a lot of elevation change.
I just did this trip 2 weeks ago but put in at willow beach with a motorized canoe and did an overnighter, it was amazing.
they charge at all MGM owned casinos now. so park for free at the other casinos like venetian/palazzo, planet hollywood, caesars. i would avoid the las vegas natural history museum. it’s an older building and not too nice. the springs preserve museum is much nicer. there’s a botanical garden and 2 museum buildings there. they also have a nice restaurant you can take her there. i would also go to gamble at red rock casino. it looks upscale but there’s cheap gambling and food there. they have a nice cheap buffet. near red rock is a scenic drive and you can make stops for hiking. there’s a nice outdoor shopping area in downtown summerlin near red rock also. the nicer more expensive buffets are bacchanal at caesars, wicked spoon at cosmo, and studio b buffet at m casino south of the strip. if you’re into outdoors stuff, you could go hang out at the silverton casino that has a huge bass pro shop attached to it. what hotel are you staying at?
