I recently purchased a X9L and quickly noticed the emitter being constantly on in an ultra low mode. Lower than you can select. It will only turn off when disconnected from the battery. I own 3 other models in the FW series and none of them do this. Is this normal for this model or should I send it back. Thanks.
maybe the emitter gone bad, can u take pics`?
Does it do it in the dark or only when you are daylight/lit room?
Make video and write to support to get money back
Sorry, I tried and can’t make it work. I haven’t ever posted a pic before. I click on insert image, it asks for url, i copy and paste what I think it is, nothing happens.
Upload and copy link here
This is with some ambient light.
No ambient light.
Looks like the switch is not doing its job cutting off the power.
It does it in both. I was finally able to post some pics.
100$ light… 5$ driver ;)) Its an electronic switch. Parasitic leak…. Maybe one of 7135 defected… maybe some dirt makes wrong contact… who knows… Write to support.
Thanks for the help. I’ll see what Lumintop has to say.
I have that same issue on a Sunwayman D40A NW, that I bought many years ago. Depending from what mode I shut it off, the emitter will sometimes keep glowing very dimly. It results in a much higher parasitic drain than when the emitter properly shuts off. When I was using the light, I got in the habit of doing a manual lockout, so the batteries wouldn’t discharge (even though it would take weeks to fully discharge).
If you keep the light, I suggest you manually lock-out the light, to prevent it slowly draining your battery. Unless you use and charge the light fairly often, in which case, it’s probably not much of an issue. Consider it an indicator light.
