Just curious if anyone else came across this “hidden future” problem, Gt mini with brand new freshly charged Samsung 30Q Botton top or Flattop battery turns off after about 1 to 5 minutes if left untouched however if taken for a walk care must be taken not to bump it or shake it or the light goes out and blinks twice. If you get lucky and manage not to shake or bump it than it will stay on for up to 3 minutes and then turn off and blink twice. She can turn it back on however the problem keeps coming back….
Any advice on how to fix it is much appreciated.
The long story is that I purchased one Gt mini with 4 Samsung 30Q and a Nitecore UM2 charger on Banggood as a gift for my sister who lives in Europe. Unfortunately long distance trouble shooting over Skype with my sister turned out very upsetting for her after few minutes and our video chat ended….
My GT mini works fine on Samsung 30Q Botton top or Flattop battery, however once I put some laptop pulled battery or one of those …fire…… battery’s I am able to replicate the bump of the light and it goes out, in these situations that she is experiencing with her light.
I am freshly out of ideas where to look for a potential cause of the problem.
That was my first thought, however the comparison we have done over Skype with the one`s i have purchased from Illumn we have agreed that there are no differences between them, unfortunate that our call ended before I was able to find out how many mAh the batteries were showing after charging.
Perhaps I`ll be able to find that out next time we talk.
If shes trying to use an older iPhone wall charger, it isn’t going to work well, if at all. She needs at least a 2A wall charger. Any of the Samsung phone fast chargers work good.
The GT mini suffered from bad switches. In my case the switch did not engage most of the time and sometimes it did. Maybe yours engages randomly and thus shutting off the light. It could be the difference between non-conducting dirt and conducting dirt during manufacturing of the switch.
Thank you all for helpful hints.
Hope it turns out to be something simple otherwise my sister will have a useless light instead of useful one.
This forum and a couple other ones is the extend of my on line social experience, I do not do facebook or birdbook or any other thing and do not plan to in this life time, however that is a brilliant idea to contact Lumintop.
