Lumintop GT4

Updates?

Nothing tangible yet. Another prototype is said to be almost ready but not sure when I will get it. Besides that they have not really given me any details on how they are fixing the issues.

If this prototype checks out the plan is to have VOB review it so you can get his far superior beamshots and comparison / review. I always feel strange reviewing something I am working on. If it is good it feels like bragging, if it is bad I want to fix it lol.

Can’t wait!

I want to see a comparison with the Imalent R90C,as I have one,so if it is way better I could buy a GT4.

I think this one will be quite pricey compared to the $160 GT, $225 GT70….
Those are the prices I have in my head

You don’t have to brag, just post some beamshots and photos, let us decide if it is worth bragging or should be fixed!

I will be honest, part of why I am not in a hurry to get beamshots is because I didn’t even want the light announced yet. If it was up to me it would not be announced until after this next prototype checks out and we know we have the light ready for production.

For example my early beamshots from the first GT caused a bit of backlash since it had different tint LED’s then the final light. I am in no hurry to repeat this type of situation, and the LED’s in my light are most certainty not going to be in the production version.

So I prefer to just wait until the light is much closer to production to go in depth with beamshots and other info like actual lumen numbers ect to make sure that the information I give is accurate.

In this case sending the light to VOB should be about the right timing for all of this, and he has far better beamshot locations then me, so I am not really worried about getting good beamshots myself. There is just no where around here to really show this light anyways, it is too flat.

Not to worry, there will be beamshots and details before it goes on sale. I just want them to be accurate representations of the final light.

Is there any chance it will be compatible with a short tube?

Martin I’m interested in one thanks for the work you do

So is the GT4 about 25,000 lumens with a 1,200 meter throw then…

When can we expect a sign up list to go live for this? Waiting until a good review on the second prototype?

yes

Updates? Anything? Clearly I’m not a patient man lol

Here, you can have my GT70 till this comes out?
My GT70 CW

What are the chances this light could be released with some nice NW tints and high CRI options?

NW? Of course.

High CRI being 90CRI+? No chance stock.

ok not “high” but higher than what we’re normally offered.

I didn’t realize until about a month ago that you could even get 80 cri 70.2s

any of these options maybe? (pulled from TA’s MT09R modding thread)
Highest P2 bin 70cri XHP70.2 tints:
5700k
4000k
*1 bin below P2 – N4 bin 5000k 70cri (should be really close to the Q8 tint)
80cri xhp70.2 Tint options:
*4000k – Shown to consistently do 20-23k lumens depending on the LED lottery
3000k – NASA had me install these into a GT for them, looks like an incandescent light, pretty neat actually

Really the most interesting would be the 4000K 80 CRI but any of the above or similar would be amazing and I’d definitely be willing to pay for them.

I know I could just re-flow them but I live in Canada and it’s very hard to find dealers who carry these high tint/cri bins that ship here

The one that we are probably going to get is the 4000k XHP70.2 as usual, either 70/80CRI.

 I like that!

So far the 70.2 lights I have at best offered the 5000k 70cri.

I think we are in the golden age of leds or about to enter it. Without lights like this leds are utterly boring. Small girly cokecan lights etc.
As someone who is use to carrying a 12inch spotlight this is compact and almost edc. I do weights however. this things size is nothing to me.
