not that u notice but a flashlight at this price range should be perfect centered i think. even convoys light i have have better placed leds.

Interesting, never had a lumintop flashlight before. I wonder if their 2000 lumens turbo is real or not? That would be brighter than my V6.

depends how hard the xhp 35 emitter is driven, a little over 2000 is what u can push it out anyways, not even the blf gt or astrolux mf02 or all those that have this emitter goes very much above 2000 lumens.

I picked one up. It arrived today. The LED on mine is even more poorly centered than the example here, and unlike my Manker u21, I simply cannot seem to get the head open. I’ve scuffed up the flashlight pretty badly in 2 spots attempting to. They’ve either glued this sucker shut or have a special tool to get it tight. I’m not very happy.

Hello, it’s recommended to use a 22650 battery with a continuous discharge current of 15A, which can maximum the performances of ODL20C.
A battery with 10A discharge current is also usable.
Battery brands with well-reputation should be the first choice.
For safety concern, we strongly recommended using the protected cell to avoid potential reverse polarity connection.
If a reverse connection with unprotective 26650 cells, it will result in a damage ODL20C.

Well I made a clamp to get the head open, and reflowed the emitter and adjusted the centering. It still isn’t perfect, but it’s a lot better. I’m a little happier now.

Ok ok, Black LiitoKala 5000mAh 26650’s work excellent in the ODL20C, as do the new black Shockli 5500mAh 26650’s with the horizontal labeling. Really like this light, even if the UI isn’t flawless.

I see Lumintop here once in a while, I wonder if you guys could answer a question for me?

I got a sample ODL20C from an early reviewer, it made very low output… seriously, only 890 lumens on a top cell. I changed the emitter and swapped the sense resistor from an R050 to an R025 to get 4.83A at the tail and 1445 lumens. Then I removed the driver and emitter both and completely rebuilt it with my own components. My light has no branding, when I got it I could find no information anywhere as to what it actually was. I was told Lumintop made it, but at the time there was no information available on it. Of course now I know what it is by it’s unique style as you (Lumintop) have this light readily available.

Can you tell me what steps were taken to bring the output of the ODL20C up so it would outperform the Manker and Utorch equivalent lights?

Edit: This driver isn’t named, both the Manker U21 and Utorch UT02 had a driver name like LX46 or something, this one doesn’t say on the contact board near the spring like those do. This is the driver that was in it when I got it…

Ixnay the randingbay (no branding) on the drivers, I don’t know where I remembered that from but my Utorch UT02 has no visible writing on the driver spring side, can’t find any pics showing numbers on either the U21 or UT02 in my earlier review either so, I was just wrong on that one.
