Hello good morning I hope this is in the right place,…I am looking for a neck lanyard for the lunintop Reylight AAA light instead of the clip.
Don’t trust myself with a clip especially with this Reylight Cu !.
The holes on each side look pretty hard to fit a lanyard in maybe…don’t know.
You probably already have this addressed, but just in case, copper tends to stain skin green. I don't think it is harmful health wise (not sure though), but a green spot on your chest may not be the look you want.
Fishing line ( monofilament ) is what is used in the small cord part of a lanyard such as the one mentioned by jon_slider . It will gradually become abraded and weak from wear if it is not protected by a woven sleeve .
If you frequently check it for wear , and /or replace it , bare fishing line should work OK .
If you use a SS split ring between the flashlight and the fishing line , it will reduce the amount of wear to the monofilament .
Braided fishing lines , such as PowerPro are even less resistant to abrasion than monofilament .
My advice is to use a small SS split ring in the flashlight hole , and run a simple breakaway paracord loop through it .
Why ? Paracord is fairly comfortable and washable . It comes in just about any color , you could use blaze orange for visibility or choose a color that coordinates with your clothing ensemble .
Any time you put paracord around your neck , make sure to use a breakaway .
What you need is a lanyard with an end like the Nitecore wrist lanyards. Most of the lanyard is woven cloth strip, but the end is a small thread loop that looks pretty sturdy.
You might try one of those wire cable key rings. They are flexible, and if you get a small enough one it shouldn’t affect the tail button that much. Otherwise, just get some 16ga stranded wire and strip off the insulation of a section. Cut it off, thread it through the hole, and weave the ends together (maybe solder?). then loop the end of the lanyard through the circle you just made to secure it. You can squeeze the copper wire into on oblong so it will clear the tail button.
