Would this work the same for Cree LEDs?

It really depends on the application. Their unique footprint can make it difficult to fit them into certain projects. Also, although they generally have more balanced and consistent tint than their Cree counterparts, they're not as bright or as efficient.
They're good for home lighting projects, but maybe not the best for flashlights.

Oh I see. In that case, no. A Rebel board is incompatible with any Cree product.
If you want an FR-4 board for Cree emitters, I believe there are some out there. I don't remember where, but I know that I have seen them before.
Why?
Because the solder pads don't line up.
However fr4 boards are quite easy to make. That is what all of my LED boards are made of.
