M3X vs TK41 beamshot test.

I am trying to post a beamshot. This one is a test and I will post more when it gets dark and I take some pictures.

The left beam is my Olight M3X and the right one is my Fenix TK41. Range is 6 feet and the wall is painted a light blue so tint will not be as it is.

Well, it was a good try. I want to know how to put the pictures right in my post so people don't have to open it in another tab. How do I do that? Thanks

click on the tree icon above the window and insert for exemple photobucket link

"Insert/Edit image" button, paste image link in "Image URL" and click Insert:

That is what I thought I did.

Anyway, thanks for putting it up.

As you can see, the M3X is a tighter cleaner beam and the TK41 has more spill. I will try to post some pictures of beam shots outside tonight after I take the pictures. I'm hoping my night pictures turn out.

Now you just need to make it smaller.

M3X looks brighter to me as well.

At your service.

Perfect size.

I did that with this.

How do I make it smaller?

The M3X looks brighter to me also but I think that's because of a tighter more focused beam. The TK41 is list at 800 lumens and the M3X is 700.

Ceiling bounce may be just a little better with the TK41. I will try to take some pictures tonight and post them then.

And those hotspots are almost the same size to me. The M3X is slightly smaller. But I would bet money the M3X will win the ceiling bounce test as well. But it won't beat the SR51. Go check out my Crelant 7G5 post. I added some more ceiling bounce pictures.

I tried to take beam shot pictures last night. Ceiling bounce and outdoor beam shots. They didn't turn out very good. My camera has settings that play with the exposure and I don't know how to take pictures in the manual exposure mode.

Maybe someone who has this camera can tell me how to do the pictures. I have a Nikon P100.
