Magnifying Glasses

I’d like to get some magnifying glasses to make soldering a bit easier. Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Thanks,
Mike

I remember someone mentioning these in a thread somewhere on here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UCODIA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_img?_encoding=UTF8&colid=XNQXT9IKBFT2&coliid=I2SBPI46PIHQ6D

I use Bausch and Lomb Magna Visor
Magna Visor

I use those and they work well, the led on the top isn’t particularly bright so I also bought a cheap head torch and fastened it on top.

I would avoid the type where the lens is just secured at the top as they’ll end up breaking off, like those below.

Very good, very comfortable, even for very long hours and all nighters! Amazon.com

Not sure where “Uppuqui-ipis-ing” is, but around here we have “Dollar Stores” (Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc.) every mile or so.

They almost always have a rack of “Reading Glasses” for super-low prices. The lenses are usually plastic, but you can get glass if you keep trying. They come in a variety of powers.

I sometimes go all Galileo with them:

Thanks…I would have never thought of the “Dollar Stores”. I’ll have to take a look.

BTW…“Uppuqui-ipis-ing” is the Indian name for Poughkeepsie, NY
