I noticed what appears to be an updated version of the WA666 thats been around for a while but now in a 4-Mode with Turbo. Do you think the turbo mode is direct drive on it now?

Thanks for the tip... Its a buck converter to bring 8.4V down to Vf. Aren't the DC-DC circuits in lights like this never really direct drive... in the sense that they always have to regulate Vin down to Vf....???

Hi Kramer, I'm not really sure. I was trying to figure out if the manufacturer is simply playing with the modes and simply calling High mode Turbo, or if it really shines in Turbo beyond what my standard version of this light puts out. When I get some extra money, I may get my hands on one and see how it is.
