Manker EO52 perfect small EDC

Absolutely love this little EDC from Manker you guys definitely need to check it out and let me know what you think!

title: Manker EOS2
correctly: Manker E05 II

example of marketologists made “edc” with inadequate modes

Medium: 80 lumens ~ 1.5 lumens, 1 hours 20 minutes + 16 hours 50 minutes
High: 300 lumens ~ 80 lumens ~ 1.5 lumens, 1 minutes + 48 minutes + 3 hours 15 minutes

The main mode for small flashlights is to show near way and places. This needs ~25 lm. For this usage of anything above with AA means senseless quick battery exhausting.
300 lm, strobe are useless.

My opinion that for many people it wont be the case. Most will prefer NIMH instead of Alkaline and regular eneloops can easily produce 1A for 1h 45min and 2A for 50 min - reference lygte.

For 1A with driver efficiency of 60% with Nichia 100 lumen per watt we will have 70 lumen (1h 45min)
For 2A with same parameters 140 lumen (50 min)

Even 50 min is reasonable runtime for regular tasks from my perspective.

If to be believed spec and Tim Mcmahon review for driver power consumption:

On AA:

  • Med 80 lumen at 0.64A = 96 lumen per watt
  • High 300 lumen at 4.21 A = 61 lumen per watt

If spec to be believed it is a top performer at mid level. At Turbo more or less in line with convoy dual fuel drivers.
