This light was supposed to be an 18650. The tube is big enough however they left a ridge at the top and bottom of each section that will only allow a 123 cell through my question did anyone get one and remove that ridge so that either 18350’s or a single 18650 could fit?

Answer: Nope
Some months ago I saw this light and read the whole comments thread!
It was mentioned more than once that it wouldn’t take 18650/18350 cells due to the overal diameter of the host!
If you want a bigger cell to put on that, you can try the 16650 size that is taller as the 18650 and slimmer as the 16340.
