Maxpedition hard use gear, is there a budget equivilant? Or just show off what you have...

maxpedition is great but overbuilt and slightly overpriced. 1000d denier cordura is overkill unless youre shipping off to iraq for a few tours its too thick, heavy, and doesnt conform to shapes. the highest i go is 500d cordura. camelbak is one of my favorite pack brands.

botachtactical.com has a constant rotation of bags and molle pouches on clearance. i scooped up a digital desert camo motherlode series camelbak for $80 shipped to hawaii which is unreal. that bag msrp's for $240+tax n shipping. i love the hydration pack but if you dont need it you can sell the bladder and mouthpiece system for $30-40 and recoup half the money. the military line of camelbaks have heavy duty bladders and insulated lines with silicone mouthpieces n dustguards. people that have hydration ready bags or lower end camelbaks always like to upgrade to the HD bladder system.

that site also has good prices on kelty, 5.11, condor etc.

thats a good looking pack for the price, do you happen to have any pics of it loaded up?

a cheaper alternative to maxpedition is MAGFORCE gear, almost exactly the same but really cheaper.

A friend brought to my attention that Lidl Germany has cheapo (for light use) backpacks with a wind tunnel like system in their only shop. They are 25/28 (sold out online, but you might find them in stores), 30 and 34 Liters. The 30L variant is also sold in the UK now
