I only use bismuth wire aka Bi58Sn42 for desoldering big block of solder such as USB or large components. The melting temperature of bismuth is 138c and if mixed with other existing solder block, the average melting temperature will be around 160c.
Never use bismuth for normal through hole or SMD soldering. The recommended solder wire for electronic or PCB is 60/40 or 63/37 or 63A (50/50) but there is so many fake specification from China seller. There’s fake imitation for Mechanic brand too.
