Gerber Option 50 light on sale at REI for $20 (supposedly half price; with free pu): Meh 55 lumens — AA, AAA or cr123.
I guess the lure is being able to use different batteries. Good idea but my Sipik 68 can use AA or AAA.
Since it's a 2009-vintage light, it likely has an older Luxeon III that could be replaced with something more modern.
I would consider it a $20 host.
Is tho the next generation of the omnivore? I see the price as $28?
