Meijer stores have RayoVac LED PR base conversion bulbs on clearance for $2.79
There is a 2 cell bulb with 30 lumens and a 3 or 4 cell 40 lumens.
Not spectacular output but would be good to convert old lights for power outage lights.
Of course, YMMV. I did see them in 3 different stores in the metro Detroit area.

Update: These are now in the clearance end caps in the stores near DIY/lightbulbs for 99 cents.
I put a 2 cell in an chrome 2C Sportsman I picked up at an estate sale. Beam is pretty focused on these.

I put one of the 2 cell bulbs in a 2D light I picked up at an estate sale and ran it with some Diehard batteries.
It gave a pretty steady output for about 5 days, dimmed down but still usable indoors for about a day and finally died on the 7th day. Tint seems on the cool side but not as bad as some early LEDs.

These have dropped down to 99 cents. I found a few on Wednesday, Oct. 2 on the clearance endcaps near the DIY/lightbulbs.

Some Meijer stores have an additional 25% off DIY and other clearance items.
I found a few more of these for 75 cents at a store near Ann Arbor on Lohr Rd.

Of course now this is a huge YMMV.
