I think this is ready solved with sticker will isolate battery from touch the new plate, and copper plate is same size as plastic plate so battery will make good contact with positive post just like before, no additional length need added.

Please correct me if is wrong. What is danger if sticker wears down and battery contacts copper plate?

The battery wont hit the plate if you use tubed extender for smaller sizes
Magnets are not needed and with this metal plate they are a potential dead short risk

It seems to me ideally that the radiator needs to be anodized and use stickers made of dielectric. Double protection))

This results are only for technical interested for discussions and to compare the aluminum (V1) and the copper version (V2.1) to each other in their efficiency.
This results are not showing the effect before and after the mod, only variations in the material and the design of the heatsink plates.

Turbo mode test, both with fresh loaded Shockli 26650 IMR 5500mah, there is not much of a difference.

Here a special scenario with a freshly loaded high drain cell, Samsung 40T. In this case the AMC’s become hot very quickly, a good thermal transfer is necessary to avoid the step down.

Well I’ll be damned. I checked the updated 1st post and was very surprised. I didnt expect thid mode to influence the turbo so much. I know we are adding heatsink mass mostly to the head, but still. Very nice. And that max ramp looks great. Great job man (of light :D). I hope our chinase friends implement the aluminium mod, but I somehow doubt it.

The results are very interesting!

Looking at the graphs got me thinking. Can someone explain to me why the Olight M2R Pro weighting 95.8g with a single XHP35 emitter can sustain 750 lumens, but the MF01 Mini weighing 171g, more surface area, and 7 SST-20 emitters only sustain 1,000 lumens? In turbo mode, the MF01 Mini seems to only sustain about 500 lumens.

I understand the SST-20 is not as efficient as the XHP35 but with 7 emitters, the SST-20 emitters should be operating at an efficiency range likely comparable to the XHP35 or more likely even more efficient.

The sustained lumens are proportional to the lights temperature and surface area

So if you get the temperature limit a lot higher it maintain more lumens

Of course especially with full battery good buck/boost drivers are more efficient, with reasonable discharged battery the sustained lumens of the MF01 mini increase

I did not test that, but I assume there will not be a further step down, except the battery voltage sag.
