Yeah, I saw those beamshots and thought OMG! - Never! Reason I checked it out was for one thing checkout out Lights Castle and secondly it was 3AA powered.

Looks like spider eyes to me. Would be a great prop for a horror movie.

At that price, with the extra costs for the multiple heads, I am betting switched parallel emitters and direct drive (the length of the power cord from battery box being the only resistance to keep from overdriving the 1 LED mode.)
