MR16 aspheric LEDs as car fog projector lights?

Ignoring the rules of my country, how risky is it to replace the incan fog lamps with properly soldered and waterproofed MR16 bulbs to it?

I have no plans to actually try this soon but this has been in my mind for long.
I’ve learned from you guys that adding an extra relay to wire a new accessory into a car so I can add a separate switch on this in case things go bad and ruin the main components.

so, what are the risks on doing this? I’ll be getting the 12-15v MR16 so the 14v alternator won’t get the drivers toasty.
I had one e27 version of this bulb outdoors under hot sun + rain for almost half a year and they seem to work fine other than melting some bugs inside the heatsink.

Edit: I saw someone made a reverse light with one of the 10w bulb. That’s where I got the inspiration

I think that can be good, I actually held two similar lights on each side of my ptorcycle to help in the twisty roads :

They have been used during 2 years without any problem, apart for some condensation from time to time under the optic.

yea I saw some of these in aliexpress too but they’re like $8 for one. A tad bit pricey for a tinkerer don’t you think? Two MR16 would cost less than $8
Well at least $8 is still cheaper than $70 in my local car accessory shop. What a ripoff. Well at least they will install them without charge.
