ABOUT THESE LIGHTS
Hey All... I recently gave away two of my favorite lights to some friends, and after I realized I wanted to replace them, I figured I would take a few pictures of the build. I am by no means a hardcore builder, but I do what I enjoy...
The black host will use 3 different tints (3000k, 4000k, and 5000k), and the grey host will use 1 tint (3x 5000k).
My favorite beam pattern for up close work is the frosted medium spot optic. (or equivalent)
I got all these parts from mtnelectronics (hence the title). I got the LED boards with LEDs already re-flowed. FWIW I paid for all the parts and am not being endorsed by mtn.

BUILD

So the Jaxman E2L does not fit 20mm triple boards without sanding/filing down the perimeter of the board. Its not bad, but I was impatient with the second board and I messed up one of the 319AT LEDs with my file, causing significant damage to the dome. So I replaced it with a 219C I had in my spare parts bin. (you'll notice it in the pictures)

I like this host for triples (other than sanding the LED board). Its fairly lightweight and has a solid shelf for the LED board to dissipate heat.

Got the drivers with spring bypass straight from mtnelectronics.

I may replace the springs with better ones in the future, but I'm not after peak brightness on these lights, so I'm going to leave them alone for now.

Only have one clip for now.

SIMPLE BEAMSHOTS AND COLOR
Took these shots with the tint-mixed version (black host). The all 5000k version (grey host) doesn't photograph all that different.

Thats all for now, not a difficult build, but still fun and custom for what I need.
