Also, this on ehas sideclicky wich I like, but I dont like that it is most probably only for changing mods - not for on off. SO, for me, that is not very practicall…
It can work on 2 or 3 18650. (it comes with extension tube apparently)
That second one is identical to the BeamTech 4000 in this thread. It has a floating pill design which means its not so good at heatsinking (no path to the body of the light). Definitely not 4000 lumens either. I don't know anything about the first one.
+1 Good rule of thumb: If they don't show a pic of the pill/emitter out of the light, it's probably a poor (Floating) design with bad heatsinking. Too bad with the HD one, as that is a great form & size for a flashlight.
Either way that Ultrafire was out of the question for me because I dont like that design very much.
About first one, design is fine, and regarding pill, I dont know, dinodirect almost never has pics f internals…
According to this site the head is 65mm and in the one pic it appears to have a threaded pill. Looks like a very nice light and DD’s price is the best I’ve found.
The Kingfire looks to have almost no heatsinking on the head and low mass. The pill may thread but the head overall doesn’t have a lot in teh way of shedding heat.
Im not an expert, but I think (and hope ) this isnt be crucial.
I mean I have onw good version of that old SkyRay 3XT6 light, its not a drop-in but there is plate in the head on wich reflector screws, so thats good heatsinking, probably better than screwed drop in…
I mean, that light was ordinari TR-800 or TR-1200 body, without any fins and without heavy head.
DRY is also like that, but I see, bot of these lights are not screw-in but little different heatsinking mechanism.
So, you would think that this one is better than? 404 page (but I didnt find it at dinodirect. I like first design with sideswitch better.
