Musk needs more power.

It looks like Musk already controls more than 10 gigawats of power. Dad worked at Alcoa so I got to tour the plant and the power plant next door. It is 791 megawatts that feeds Alcoa only. The power plant takes entire trains of coal and grabs each car and turns it upside down and dumps the coal into a hopper. The wires that feed the aluminum vats are 3 square feet each. Alcoa can also squeeze a 70000 pound ingot down into Aluminum foil. Alcoa also recycles but uses natural gas for that. The entire area is strip ined for coal. No idea how big that is but I have explored 100 square minles. The mines have been set aside as a nature preserve. Musk has enough power.

I’m honestly surprised that aluminium plant doesn’t use electricity for producing aluminium, since using fossil fuel sources for aluminium production/recycling has historically been very expensive vs direct electricity produced in other ways.

Dad was given the task of making their recycling furnaces comply with the EPA. He hooked them up to computer back in the 70’s. That worked and also used less energy. Those used natural gas the vats used electricity. A lot of his work on fluid mechanics was done on a TI 99 4A and later on a Compaq 286. We have plenty of computer power but not enough people who know how to use it.

Yeah, I think he needs to bump that up to at least 100 gigawatts… minimum! :smiling_imp:

All I need is 1.21 gigawatts for my “project”!
