LED Flashlights – General Info

So I decided to have a little tidy up of my flashlights and flashlight related batteries and took a stock take.

The pile of batteries is reserverd for flashlight use. I’ve got about 30 more AA’s and 20 more AAA’s dotted around the house - all of which are either Uniross Hybrio LSD’s or Tronic LSD’s.

So, the collection.

I’ll start with the boring stuff, the batts. A few were on charge at the time of the photo hence the numbers not tallying. The rubbish ones are just shown as they came free with some things and I wanted to keep them for “just in case” moments. I threw out 10 old ultrafire blue wrapper ones that were not holding their charge.

As with everyone else on here, I WANT more lights. I want a few more small lights, more EDC style lights, Single AA, Single AAA, RCR123 etc etc. Heck the new EDC from RikR looks awesome and i WILL get that.

I have my eye on a couple of other lights but I haven’t placed any more orders just yet.

If anyone wanted a X vs Y test I’d be happy to do so.

how long have you been a “serious-collector”?. Whatever that means

I wouldn’t class myself as a serious collector I just like buying toys!

I want to start playing more with lasers but the ones I have on my “want” list are quite simply dangerous so I don’t really want to have them in the house.

When I was a youngster every time I went somewhere with a gift shop I’d get a flashlight, a 2AA one, a key chain one etc etc. When I was 11 years old I had 100 flashlights, some (18years ago) that were quite impressive. Some had quite a decent throw and others would light up a room.

I also think I just have a thing for shiny things!

Nice collection. But could you please change the size of your pictures to 100%?

Also, I would get rid of the Ultrafire and GTL 18650s..^^

I didn’t realise what the resize part would do. Done now :slight_smile:

The red pieces of poo are just sitting there incase I need to stick them in something when I’ve run out of other batts.
The GTL’s are actually quite capable too. I’ve measured them at ~1900mAh. They only go in my not so favourite lights.
The Trustfire flames are actually very good cells. I’ve measured mine at ~2500mAh

Agree, love toys! (Flashlights, lasers…) Even if I shouldn’t be buying them I still do.
