My Emisar D4V2 is coming in today

I’ve never handled a “complex” flashlight before.
What’s the first thing I should do?
In before “put the battery in.”

This is what I do in no particular order.

Check for any accessories.
Look in the tube.
Press the switch few times.
Smell it.
Put cell in.
Give the UI a go.
Pocket test.
Set in row with other lights.
Go to darkest room in house.
Look for something in basement
Sure I forgetting something.

That is a detailed list. The only things I can think of to add is to disinfect it, taste it, and read the instruction manual.

Remember how it came out of the box in case you need to sell it to buy something else

take a look at the anduril operation guide

Better yet, download a link to your browser.

After some time not using it, I forget the button sequences.

Never far away, on my cellphone.

Chris

Read how to calibrate the temperature and set the max temp.

Thanks guys, unfortunately (just kidding) we’re having a dinner guest over tonight. That feel when you’d rather mess with a light than work out/help wife with supper.

That sounds like an opportunity to shine

There you go.

Chris

These lights are great. Looking forward to getting a few more.

Check out the D4Sv2 as well.

Take a selfie holding it while smiling, Just in case it’s DOA.

I did not do this what is it set as standard?

The calibration could be any temperature. You just have to check it. Set it to what your room thermometer reads. The head must be completely cooled first. The max temp might be set to 45 C default. Not sure. Does yours feel comfortable in your hand on turbo with a fully charged battery? That is what counts unless you are after the longest possible turbo, then 60 C would be tops.

Read instructions. Learn the UI.

It gets hot in my hand but drops down before to hot to handle. I could handle a little more heat. I will have a play with that setting thanks.

I didn’t have much time to fiddle with it, but I did try to change the auxiliary LEDs. I know it takes seven clicks but I never could get the auxiliary LEDs to stop and stay on a certain color. Once I stopped on a color it would keep flashing or doing some other random activity.
Can I set it to where it just stays on a certain color?
What I’m doing is clicking seven times and staying down on the 7th, until it reaches the color that I want and then releasing.

Edit: nevermind, I figured it out. Oh man, I’m not going to get much done in the office today

My bother has mine now. I am waiting for a copper version before buying another one. Hint hint Hank

I love this light so much.

I have the copper version. It’s nice but I expected it to be a bit more polished. Some hairline scratches also. Weight is about 50% more than aluminum version which I like.
