My father is looking for some interestingly shaped lights.

My dad lost his yellow Solarforce P2 recently, and is looking for something new. I told him I’d get him a replacement. Earlier he expressed interest in a light that’s just a hexagonal prism, but he’s stepped up his game.

Does anyone make a flashlight with a cross section that is a non-round shape of constant width?

So he’s looking for something like this, which doesn’t exist in the flashlight world, I don’t think. I told him he could probably get one machined for $1000 or so.

My questions for you all are these:

1. What are some non-round flashlights? Like a square prism or hexagonal prism.
2. Is there a flashlight body designed around a curve of constant width?
3. Out of curiosity, who would be up to the challenge of machining such a flashlight?

Nitecore Concept2 is a rectangular flashlight. Nitecore EC4GTS is taller than wide because it’s two 18650s on top each other.

Yea… I am in love with the c2. Button is easy to locate in the dark by placing my right thumb. User interface is awesome! Half press to battery check is useful.

Stock c2 is currently around $199.

The only thing that isn’t making me love the Concept 2 in theory the fact that instant turbo from off is press and hold. That’s completely opposite of the other lights I’ve grown to love over the years (Zebralight UI, Driver VN UI, and Anduril UI all have click and hold for low from off, and double click for turbo from off).

I have never owned a zebra. I think instant turbo on the c2 make sense…

You don’t want half press to turn on the turbo… it is more vulnerable to over heating…

Full press and hold for turbo ensure you are physically demanding for turbo…

After all, it’s all about safety of the user.

I have a Small Sun ZY-T07, that is hexagonal on the front half and 2 parallel 18650 battery tubes on the back.
Got it during Pinkpanda’s auctions for Old Lumens. It’s the one on the right in this threads first picture here
It’s a few years old and I don’t believe it’s made anymore.

I may be willing to part with it if you or your dad are interested.
