My First P60 Build

Hmmm. I wonder if this stuff is conductive?

Nice job, and welcome to the BLF.

Here’s a basic L2 host, $13…need a drop-in and a battery. http://www.lighthound.com/Solarforce-L2-Host-for-18650-Battery—Body-with-Head-and-Switch-all-Black-Type-2-Anodized_p_2629.html or you can add a mcclicky switch which they also have and run a high amperage dropin for lumens in the 4 digit range. They’ve got cells, drop-ins, complete lights, and reasonable shipping rates. And they get it out the door fast as well.

Yeah, you’re not done just yet

Edit: Maglites, oh yeah you can do some fun mods there. Look up Elektrolumens dot com.

I got my L2P from illuminatorGear for around $16 shipped along with ET 18650 batteries.

Anyhow looks good on that dropin, might have to try that RTV silicone and see how it holds up.

Sweet!

You were right, I just received my shipping confirmation e-mail this morning. Another 1-2 weeks via registered air-mail :frowning:

From the Permatex FAQ site:

The Ultra Copper® is a silicone product and is copper in color. It does not contain any copper or other metal and it is not electrically conductive.

Thanks Johnny.

Great job for your first build. RedforestUK is correct the Solarforce has an extra long body so you need to add a longer spring to get proper contact otherwise it’s gong to switch modes every time it moves. I use a regular spring mounted backwards. You should be able to swap it out with the RTV on there.
