My first UV flashlight build

I just completed my first UV flashlight build in a convoy host.
I had ordered most of the parts last year, but with covid19 many of my parts never arrived such as my visible light filter.

Its a simple convoy S2+ host using their 1.5A driver I bought from their aliexpress store, im also using a 365nm LG3535 diode.

I think the output is more likely going to be around 4W since its a 3V LED running on a single 18650.

Other improvements I would like to see are a wider throw reflector, it seems fairly narrow beam with the standard reflector, and later I would like to upgrade to a more powerful diode and driver if anyone can recommend anything suitable for single cell operation. The LG3535 can run at 5W, im running about a watt below this i reckon.
Either way, its better than my crappy 380nm “3W” light that runs on 3AAA cells and drains them fast.
My uranium glass is glowing much better with this.

Ooh, eerie!

I’ve only got one piece that glows eerily like that.

That’s a very nice picture! I might have to take a look in our glass cabinet.

BTW: did you swap the “plain” glas lens for a “black” ZWB2 filter?
