It is funny how by looking at the screen how your mind kinda forms a idea of size. At least mine does… Sometimes, when you get the light it’s much different than you thought at first.
im really liking the tk75… i think i may end up owning one at some point… i wonder if they will ever offer a neutral or warm white version and or xml2… one would think they would sell truckloads of them… but i guess we are still in a “conversion phase” where many manufacturers are still switching from xml to xml2
im tempted to buy a tk75 and get about 14 extensions and run it on high until the end of time! why? because I can lol.
dale - does it looks like the head can be opened? just wondering if an emitter swap might be possible?
Now your starting to see what rikr and I told you all along about why the TK75 is the king of flashlights at least in our collections. Yea there are others that will out throw it, but oz per oz the TK75 throws with the best of them and provides a heck of a lot more spill than the TN31 than any other stock flashlight its same size.
It’s nowhere close to being king in my collection. You should get a TN30 Brad… I think your perception may change. As far as flood goes… Time will tell with the BTU… I really don’t see this thing out performing the BTU ( Mine anyway ) On it’s best day.
I’d have to agree. And my BTU is still stock……for now
Not that I can see… I’m not trying too hard, last time I did it went bad for me… LOL
So are you saying the TN30 will out throw the TK75?
And your BTU is’nt stock. Big difference. And idid say for its size. The BTU has the same exact head on it has the TK70. So again not a fair comparison.
Size & all. To me the TK75 more ressembles the TN30. I completely agree that comparing the 75 & BTU is a unfair matchup. The BTU is a beast… The 75 was specifically designed as a flooder. Just like the 30….Do I think the 30 will outflood the 75? Doubtful, have to check this weekend. All in all I do like the 75 , although when I open the case I’m not basked in heavenly light & angels don’t start singing. Like it does for some in here.
Well the TK75 puts out 90,000 k/cd. The TN30 XM-L2 model only does 46.,000 k/cd.
Well everyone has their likes. I’m sure you love the terminator you got, but I doubt it would do much for me since it’s more flood than anything.
one of my top faves isnt even in the running. The Crelant7G5cs…. For some reason that little sucker has a lot of appeal.
Fenix TK75 man exposure on both
445yds to that barn
How are you measuring your distances Brad?
Google map
never thought of that!! Thanks!
Trust me Dale that’s along way to that barn. I doubt a Termintor would do much at that distance. And remember I’m using man exposure and not automatic on my shots.
That other shot above I’m zoomed in some.
Here’s 475yds. It’s about 90yds in between poles. No zoom on this one other than what the camera comes on at.
The sign on the right is much closer in the night shot compared to the day picture. The barn being white is sticking out even in the day light. I don’t really see it lighting up the barn so much as slightly reflecting off thewindows…
Dale,
I’m 30yds closer in that one picture I posted before the last that is 475yd. Like I said I’m in man exposure of 2 secs and not on auto. If you like I can go take one of that same shot on auto exposure and show you a bright photo. But that’s not my style.
That last photo at nite of the barn is Manual exposure, 2 sec, f/4, ISO 200. If I go to auto exposure I can make it look almost 3 to 4 times brighter.
