My Javelot of the third world :)

Hi guys

I share with you (my first time), my last mod.
Since leaving that flashlight (Olight M2X-UT Javelot ) keep me around in my head the idea of a super thower flashlight but one battery 18650, as there is no flashlight with these characteristics on the market I decided to try to do it with what I had available…. thus, was born this flashlight
I use different parts of flashlights that I have available:

Couriu head
Trustfire battery extension tube (3t6)
Trustfire tail switch (3t6)
TN31 reflector
XM-L2 T6 first generation
BLF Fet driver (Nanjg 105D + FET)
Aluminum pill, copper core

Getting started:

Already made the cavity to the reflector

Cavity for the copper core

Core in place:

For the driver

Finished piece, still missing polished details:

My intention was to make some dissipation fins and anodized in black, but I stopped because I like how it turned out…

With other flashlights:

Compared to c8:

Most importantly, the performance of course with dedomed Led and all work with this type of mods.

With fresh LG ICR HE2 18650 measured at 6 mts

Low mode : 29 kcds at 0.28A
Mid mode : 202 kcd at 2.4A
High mode: 475 kcd at start at 6.55A , after 1 min 454 kcd at 6.1A

The truth I am very happy with the performance obtained  really exceeded my expectations, I hope you like my work, any comments are welcome

Thanks for reading

Nice Mod.

Where did you get the TN-31 reflector and how much?

Almost 3 times the cd of the Javelot, i’d say mission accomplished…and then some…

Some fine looking craftsmanship there gaston01. Congrats on the new light.

Your OP would be easier to read if you posted the pictures in it. You just click on the icon that looks like a picture or computer display (depending on the edit mode you are in) and paste the picture's internet address in the box labeled "Image URL".

Amazing work! Now we want to see some beamshots!

I LIKE it!

And the output makes it all worthwhile for sure! Well done, PM me for where to send it…. :stuck_out_tongue:

Love it
especially you “cut” those d-pak package semiconductor J)
(i don’t know its mosfet or diode)

Wow, awesome job. A single 18650 with over 450k lux.

Very well done! Ha, someone is still using the NANJG92 driver, so you still have a few of those Vishay FETS lying around?

Superb lego-ing and machining! Great performance as well, awesome work.

I would also be interested in hearing where you got the tn-31 reflector. But I suspect it can’t be bought separate and you just had one laying around from a modded tn-31?

Great modd and great results, but not fair to compare it to a Javelotas the Javelot has a much smaller reflector and a dedomed XM L2.

For comparison: my Maxtoch M12 (roughly the same size reflector as a Javelot) produces 230Kcd with dedomed XM L2.
Changing that to a dedomed XP G2 S2 would result in an approx. 365Kcd (but I want the bigger spot).

I must admist I am quite envious of jour skills and equipment, and it would be nice to compare this light to the upcoming Eagletac M25C2 Turbo, which has a very large reclector and uses a singel 186550.

But again, job well done. After all: throw is throw!!

Grtz
Nico

Thank you all for your comments

AlexGT: Thanks! I use the reflector of my TN31

JamesB: Thanks! yes! was surpassed widely

ImA4Wheelr: Thanks! I try to fix the photo but I can not do :frowning: perhaps some moderator have mercy on me and fixes

bibihang: Thanks! I’ll try, I live right in the city and have no safe areas close to do beamshots…

DBCstm: Many thanks! Hahaha

tjeret: Thanks! yes is a mosfet

pinkpanda3310: Thanks you, that was main idea to achieve maximum performance with a single battery

djozz: Many thanks I’m glad the comment coming from you  I do not understand the comment of the mosfets :~ are Vishay 70N02 from MTN electronics

Great mod!
I like all the thick aluminum and copper used for the head.
Nice machine work,too.
I wish I had a machine like this.

LinusHofmann: thank you very much, as I said reflector borrow of my TN31

Nicolaas: Of course the Olight has the smallest reflector never wanted to compare, It was just a game of words that the two have big head, dedomed led and only one battery  I have other mods Small sun Zy-t13 one battery and small sun 619 (around 220 kcd although with smaller reflector) to compare with the Javelot  thanks for commenting

MRsDNF: Many thanks I’m glad the comment coming from you

M4D M4X: I try but I could not do from phone :frowning: Many thanks!

FmC: Many thanks

ryansoh3: thanks, and thanks for your work to correct my posting (photos)

dchomak: thanks to correct the photos!

FlashLion: Many thanks, regarding the machinery I too would like to have it at home!
I make these pieces in the house of a friend, slowly in his spare time ,and in different visits to his workshop, whom appreciate it because despite not having modern machinery, manages to make the pieces (my madness as says) hahaha

Finally I could fix photos in the initial post H)

Great build, just the type of light I like best, small and powerful.
