I had ordered two from Manafont, one for a friend and one for me. They arrived in excellent time and well-packaged. Man, none of you reviewers really sold how amazing this light is! It is bigger than it looks and the lens huge. But not all was good news.
One (the one I’m keeping) focuses fully for even more output and throw (I’d betcha about 60,000 lux worth), but the other doesn’t focus all the way, was very blue, and got real hot before dying after about 5 minutes of use. It was also missing anno. We will see how well Manafont resolves this.
Still can’t wait till tonight. This thing has a WAY tighter spot/image than has been made out in the reviews here. It is also brighter. I haven’t even been outside and I can tell you this thing is gonna offer eye-watering throw.
The nice thing about the zy-c10 being an aspheric is you can spot objects far away without the spill bothering people. It lights up where you point it and nowhere else. I would think that your neighbors would welcome this light. Lol.
I just got mine.
And uhm… it’s blue.
Seriously. Just look at this:
I’m not sure whether it looks blue enough on photo, but in real life, it’s most bluish tints of all flashlights I ever owned.
I guess I’ll have to replace the LED…
Driver is somewhat disappointing, too - 1.1A on high, 0.25A on low. That’s a too high high, and too low low.
Body and lens are great, though - distortion is almost invisible to naked eye, and there’s no “corona ring” so popular on aspheric lights.
Good pic! Yep, one of mine is blue (the one that died). The one I have is bright white and oh so awesome! But no thrower-holic can deny that these lights put out some very pleasing throw.
