So, since a Nanjg 105C can handle up to 6V input on a ~3V Vf LED dropping up to ~2V across teh 7135s, would you be able to power a 6V MT-G2 from a 105C 3A? You would be dropping 2.4V across the 7135s which may be too much for them. Also, what voltage can the ATtiny handle for input? Jut curious as I kindof want to get a Trustfire X6 and mod it to a Hi-CRI MT-G2.
The ATTiny13 maxes out at 5.5V.
Can you put the MT-G2 before the driver? If so the AMCs only see a volt or so, but that may be insufficient for the ATTiny13.
A version of the ATTiny MCU, the ATTiny13_V_, needs a minimum voltage of 1.8V to operate. It comes close, but may not work over the full the working voltage of two lithium-ions minus the Vf of the MT-G2. I bet someone like PilotPTK or texaspyro has the answer.
Ok, and looking at it the X6 is a 3x18650 light, so I would need to use a dummy cell and I don’t really want a light that long. Still want to get a MT-G2 light with 80 or 90 CRI component.
I would suggest you’d be fine with the x6’s stock driver (other than blinkies) have a look in the edc+ torchlight thread that’s bouncing about, we’ve tried a few drivers that should be fittable in the x6.
You could mod the Nanjg - put a 3.x volt zener diode in series with the existing diode, to drop the extra voltage and keep the AVR happy.
