I have always been interested in photography but have never had a capable camera to shoot with.
Well I recently bought a decent phone (LG G4) which is quite a joy to shoot with.
I’d love to see some shots from you guys as well so post your nature photos here! We all know there are many skilled
photographers here and I think it’s very true that we can gain a lot of inspiration by experiencing the creative work of others
I’ve posted this kinda thread on other forums and it seems like a great way to enjoy other members photography!
Before I looked at who posted the pictures l looked at the pictures and thought to myself they could of been taken in Australia. Scrolled back to the top and they are. Outstanding pictures will not many pictures capture the country of origin like these.
Thanks MrsDNF! I hope to capture what I perceive as some of regional Australia’s most beautiful areas, most of these were captured a few weeks ago so there is not nearly as much water around as there used to be. The recent flooding created some awesome photo opportunities Here’s another one I took!
“Lake-ception” Click on it to view the original image
Beautiful pictures and countryside. Those cows have plenty of green to eat. Around here we are going through a drought, hasn’t rained any in about 4 months and only very lights rain the 3 months before that. Lakes, ponds, and rivers are the lowest I have ever seen. Trees and shrubs are dying.
You have done a great job with the phone camera :+1:
Didn’t know if you only wanted phone photos in here, sooo
Here is a phone photo I took while killing time taking a 118sec exposure with my camera,
and here is the photo
Thank you Southland! Drought can certainly turn a once beautiful countryside into a desolate sight Australia seems to be going through a bout of floodwaters and persistent rain. In recent years there has been a few severe droughts, however this year has been unusually wet.
All types of photos welcome David! Your long exposure shots look very surreal Glad you could share them and please don’t hesitate to post more
Here’s another shot I took recently, you can see a trend where I’m mostly posting close-up flower photography. This is mainly due to the fact that phone cameras really shine when there is a substantial amount of natural light present, with the subject of the frame being at close proximity and offering a relatively high contrast. Other than that I’ve found that with phone cameras the dynamic range and digital clarity kinda suffers in landscape photography and even more so when there is less light.
