Need help for modding JAX Z1 driver

Hi I want to mod my Jax z1 driver for 5-6 amps in a XPG or XML.
And if possible anyone know a host that can accept the jax z1 driver? A convoy host?
I will use this driver for a thrower.
Possibly an aspheric thrower.
This is my driver
You can see the 2 wire for the led (shorter) and the wir for better mass connection.(the longer)

In this picture you can see the sens resistor I think. It’s the sens résistor I need to modify.

I have a different driver version than I see in forum review.

5-6A is pushing it for a Z1 driver, 4-5A is more realistic unless you plan on changing more than just the sense resistor.

I generally stack an R160-R170 ohm resistor on top of the sense resistor and call it good. I’ve tried lower, but it’s usually bad news.

Edited to correct resistor values.

On what resistor you stack the 160ohm resistor? The R150 or the R160?
For a XPG 2 what is better?4-5amps are good for me.

It will keep the capacity of 2x18650?

I want to make a pocket thrower.

I’m sorry, I mistyped, it’s an R160-R170, I stack 1 R330 on each of the sense resistors for .165 ohms total, so if you have an R160 it would go on either resistor on the board(the R150 and R160 are in parallel on the board).

Thank. To be precise I need 2 r330ohm resistor? One on the r150 and one on the r160?

Hi,

i added one R120 resistor on top of the existing and got 4,96A at the LED using copper MCPCB etc…

For what diode did you use the driver?
