Need help modding a Convoy S2+ tailcap

Hi all, I’m trying to remove the brass switch retaining ring of my Convoy S2+ switch to prepare it for modding, but the ring won’t budge no matter how I turn my snap ring pliers counterclockwise. My Convoy S2’s switch retaining ring came off a lot more easily. Any advice for getting it to turn?

Another question, is there a forward clicky switch out there that’s known to be compatible with a Convoy S2 or S2+?

It’s a reverse thread retaining ring, at least on the one I have.

Should I try to find a way to turn it counterclockwise with more force?

If it’s a reverse thread then you loosen it in the opposite direction than normal, so you turn it clockwise instead of counter-clockwise.
