A little while back I bought the Acebeam P18 through amazon. It worked great for about 90 days, but then it started flashing (imagine an sos feature) constantly as soon as you screwed the head on enough to make connection and would only stop if you unscrewed the head and body. It doesn’t matter how you press or hold either switch or together, it doesn’t allow you to change what its doing and you cant turn it off. It will literally stay on until the battery dies never changing from doing the SOS thing and after charging it back up or putting a different charged battery in, it goes right back to the flashing. I contacted acebeam and they had fantastic customer service and promptly sent me another P18 and told me not to even send back the one I had. The second one I received works great and I have had no issues with it. Then I figured since I had the extra P18 try swapping tail caps just to see if that fixed the issue. It did not. The old tailcap works fine with my newer P18 and using the new tailcap on the issue light it still does the same thing. Im not sure if anyone else has had this issue before, but for my own curiosity I would really like to know what is causing it to do that. If anyone knows other things I can try to narrow it down or if you know how I could fix it, that would be super awesome. Or if its not something fixable, thats alright too, Im just hoping to get some answers one way or another. Thanks in advance!
